Accomplishments: Monte Bersante joined the WAMS mediation and arbitration panel in 2013. His mediation experience spans a broad spectrum of tort claims including traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death, negligent highway design, products liability, aviation, sexual abuse and professional malpractice. Additionally, Mr. Bersante has extensive experience mediating complex commercial and contract claims, insurance coverage, construction disputes, real estate matters and employment claims.

As a partner at Davies Pearson, P.C. in Tacoma, Mr. Bersante represented defendants in civil and criminal cases for several years before shifting to a plaintiff-oriented civil practice. He tried approximately 30 civil and criminal cases to jury verdicts in superior court and around 15 in appellate and federal courts. He has been named by Seattle Magazine as one of the area’s top lawyers in medical malpractice and a Super Lawyer in personal injury by Super Lawyers magazine since 2012.

Monte Bersante is often sought as a mediator for his unique ability to resolve matters that involve client management issues. He conferences with all parties prior to mediation to identify challenges and pathways forward. In doing so, Mr. Bersante is able to develop effective strategies and utilize the same during the process which in turn often leads to resolution.
