Accomplishments: With over 25 years of significant ADR experience behind her, Judit Gebhardt currently focuses her practice on arbitrations only. Following service as a Hearing Examiner, with the WA State Dept. of Employment Security, Judge Gebhardt became an Industrial Appeals Judge in Washington State, with primary responsibility for the adjudication of disability and related claims. She has arbitrated more than 300 claims and mediated or served as a settlement judge in over 600 cases in a variety of areas, with primary emphasis on contract disputes and tort claims involving both damage and liability issues. Her practice area expertise includes traumatic brain injury, domestic relations matters, and personal injury claims involving medical standard of care issues. Additional practice experience includes disputes involving fraud, safety and health violations, race and gender discrimination, employment, occupational exposures and injuries, federal and state benefit programs, and consumer protection. She has particular experience in family, consumer, contract and financial claims involving business relationships and valuation issues through her service as a neutral in several Attorney General ADR programs.
Judit Gebhardt serves as a single or swing arbitrator in UIM matters as well as employment, tort and commercial disputes. She has taught Evidence, Worker’s Compensation and Administrative Law in various continuing legal education courses and has served as Chair of the Administrative Law section of the Washington State Bar.
