WAMS Arbitrator Certification: 1990
Accomplishments: Since 1981, Judge Curington (Ret.) has served as an Industrial Appeals Judge for the Washington State Board of Appeals. In this capacity, she presides over appeals taken from determinations of the Department of Labor and Industries regarding industrial insurance benefits and premium assessments, industrial safety violations, and crime victims compensation. She is responsible for issuance of written proposed orders containing findings of fact and conclusions of law. In 1990, she was added to the WAMS New Motor Vehicle Lemon Law Arbitrator Panel and earned the Special Master qualification in 1994. She has also served as a program arbitrator for various consumer protection restitution programs dealing with automobile dealerships, tour operators and health clubs.
In addition to serving as a consumer protection arbitrator, Judge Curington serves as a single or swing arbitrator in UIM and commercial disputes.
