Mediation is a process in which a neutral, professional mediator, encourages and facilitates the resolution of a dispute between two or more parties. The process to refer a dispute for mediation is:

1. Contact WAMS by email at wams@usamwa.com or by telephone. You will be asked to provide the names of the parties, their attorneys and/or representatives for settlement purposes, relevant addresses and telephone numbers, a brief description of the dispute, a time frame for the hearing and allocation of the hearing fees. If a specific date and/or mediator is needed, just tell us.

2. WAMS obtains the parties’ agreement to mediate, provides the mediator, schedules the mediation and can provide the venue.

3. After receiving case information, WAMS contacts the parties to confirm or solicit an agreement to proceed.

4. There is no filing fee and no charge if the necessary parties do not agree to participate in mediation.
