Accomplishments:

Michelle Corsi has practiced law since 1994 and is currently with the Civil Division of the Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office. She was previously a board member and shareholder in th e Lee Smart firm in Seattle, WA, where she practiced for 22 years. Her practice emphasized civil litigation in the areas of professional negligence, including real estate and legal malpractice matters, employment discrimination and personal injury. She has frequently appeared on Seattle Met Magazine’s “Top Lawyers” list and has been named a Super Lawyer in Washington. Ms. Corsi has tried jury and non-jury cases in Washington, obtaining successful and/or defense verdicts, such as a two-week long employment discrimination case in Spokane County (defense verdict) and real estate malpractice case in Whatcom County for two weeks (defense verdict and affirmed on appeal). She has successfully argued dispositive motions in Superior Courts and Federal Court and has handled civil appeals before the appellate courts of the State of Washington, including the Washington State Courts of Appeals and Washington State Supreme Court, as well as before the United Sta tes Courts for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Corsi has served as an arbitrator for King and Snohomish county mandatory arbitration programs and as a sole and panel arbitrator in UM/UIM proceedings. She is a Rule 39.1 certified mediator in the Western District of Washington.
